For the beer lovers

Post by E.Estrada » Wed Jun 24, 2015 1:03 am

I'm in between semesters right now. I'm still doing research, but spent a week and a half playing around with iOS development for fun. I love beer, so I wrote an app that displays the new 2015 Beer Style Guidelines from the Beer Judge Certification Program. It's the de facto standard for beer styles around the world. If you have an iPhone or iPad check it out:

While I'm not a beer drinker, many in my circles are.
Will pass along!

Thanks,

It seems the judges liked my beer. Bronze in American IPA and Silver in American Pale Ale:

Update:

Won another medal with the same beer. Then I tweaked the recipe and submitted to a pro-am competition. I won best in show. Which means... I am going to get to brew my beer at a commercial brewery and it will be for sale to the public at local bars/growler pubs/etc, woohoo!

Budweiser Announces Ambitious Plan Of Brewing Beer On Mars
On Saturday, March 11, Budweiser - which is owned by Belgium-based brewery Anheuser-Busch - revealed that intends to brew peoples' favorite beer on Mars. The ambitious plan was shared during a panel discussion at the Southwest Interactive Festival. Budweiser made the bold statement of creating a microgravity beer, which will come in handy when humans make it to Mars.
