Original name is Roughinery. This is my take on it so far for RVS.

Also, this is the hidden project that is almost finished: Christmas Crash

Roughinery beta is on my server now.

Christmas Crash is taking forever with all the lights being added. Might be ready for next Christmas lol.

I tried Roughinery on your server and enjoyed a few rounds.
Cubic! Terrorists rushed to me and killed me soon lol
I'll try it again when I'm off.

I'm so glad that we can see something new by checking this great forum, by playing this old game... GJ!

Teq,

Yeah, I had thought that perhaps this would better suit an adversarial mode since it is a 1v1 in Unreal Tournament. I even thought about duplicating the map and spacing out the tangos so they didn't rush; I have that same problem. In many ways it suffers from the rushing like Rankin. The problem is that UT maps are either super large or these tiny CQBs.

I know about the missing texture on the floor; for some reason it is locked in the editor as an invisible texture and I cannot turn it off and forgot to place an actual SM over the hole.

ive had this same problem

Can fix it by selecting a surface of the bsp linked to the missing side

so in a cube

...if the base is invisable select a side or top surface that is in the same add subtract bsp brush
then right click the selected surface
*Select Surfaces
*matching items
this will select all surfaces of the brush hidden or not
Then go to Surfaces menu with all 6 sides selected now and unselect invisable

Hope that helps pretty quick fix

SpecOps,

I have forgotten or had not known about these odd ball uses of the editor until I started importing UT maps. Group lighting is another one that baffled me. It seems unnecessary from my stand point, but there must have been a reason for why they did it that way.

Will take a look and try to fix the error; sadly, I do not know there's a problem until I actually load the map because the editor shows them visible; likewise there are objects hidden in the editor which makes no sense.

I have learned a great piece of advice though when it comes to editing old maps over and over; lock everything and only change pieces at a time. One of my maps had this issue where on clicking a BSP, SM, the editor auto zoomed into First person mode of the object selected and if I were not careful would move as I moved in the editor. I tried uninstalling/rebooting/visual pane adjustment/changed screen resolution and all the usual tricks.

Some maps just go into crazy mode. I have another that even if I move a single AI node, it beeps with "error on autosave" something and I have to rebuild it that instant or else it floods my editor with popups.
