Is there a map you want that we don't have?

Make sure RealTime preview is on.

Actor classes/ Actor-> highlight just "Emitter"

1. Just use the basic emitter not a unique one.
2. Add emitter right clicking on a brush or terrain
3. Double click it and open up "Emitter" tab.
4. Go to "..." and select add
5. Decide which emitter you want to use.
6. SpriteEmitter is best for rain.
7. Select it and "New".
8. **Note the emitter has a funny habit of disappearing if you move around in the editor at this point."
9. Open up the "Texture" tab and change DrawStyle to "Brighten" and go to "Texture"
10.Go to "..." and open up "R6SFX_T" in the Textures browser.
11.Select "Flare" in the drop down box.
12.Choose any flare, I'm going with "CoronaGeneric03"
13.Go to "Color" and add two "ColorScale" boxes.
14.Make the first color light gray and the second darker gray.
15.For "Relative Time" set the first to zero and the second to 1.0
16.Set "Fading" and "FadeInFactor" all to .25
17.Set "General" and "MaxParticles" to 600.
18.Go to "Location" and "StartLocationRange" and set your X axis Max to any length like "800" for example.
19.I did not put anything for "Min"
20.Y axis Max set to "200" but I was making it for a smaller space so you can extend this and X axis to the whole map if you wanted.
21.Z axis Max set to "300"
22.Go to "Size" and StartSizeRange and set X axis Max to 3 and min to 2
23. ** Now it actually looks like rain or rather blinking "snow"
** Good effect for creating the Call of Duty 4 dust
24. Set Y Max to 30 and Min to 20. I changed this number higher and lower for strange effects.
25. I did not mess with "SizeScale" here but it can made the water start out larger and end smaller on falling. Like Size=5 and Time=2
26.Go to "Sprite" and set "UseDirectionAs" to "Up" but you can change the way it is projected if you wanted wind like effect I suppose.
27.Go to "Fading" and set FadeIn to True and "FadeInEndTime" to .5

This should get you started. I tweak stuff and see what it gives me from here.

Changing the texture can be fun here too. Especially if you change the draw style to Translucent with various textures.

For example making the texture into one of the animated explosions from R6SFX. I got fire rain.

Almost done with it. These aerial views capture at least the surface. There are tunnels too.

Man... no joke that map is epic. Reminds me of the look of old unreal tournament maps!
